Introduction to Pegasus

We are a friendly firm now in our 20th year of delivering professional, quality plumbing and heating services in Derby and further afield. Owners Bob Greatorex and Steve Hendly, already experienced in the trade, started the firm just before Christmas 1996 from the home of Bob and his wife Lesley . In 2000 we bought a former fruit and veg shop on Chaddesden Park Road which is now our base. It has been extended and includes offices and store as well as a shop where customers can buy certain items and see working demonstrations of boilers and accessories.

“Both the premises and our company have grown together,” says Bob. Annual turnover has risen from £150,000 to more than one million pounds.

But though still growing we like to think we have not forgotten our roots, and still provide a helpful service to our loyal customers, big and small. We have eight engineers and two apprentices, plus a builder and apprentice.

We do everything from changing tap washers and doing toilet cisterns to central heating. We have put whole systems into buildings and regularly maintain them.

As well as domestic customers in the DE postal areas we work all over the country – schools, Derby County Football Club Football Club, Rolls-Royce and other industrial firms, and names in the leisure and hospital industry such as Quality Hotels and health clubs set up by entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne.

In addition to our long and experienced service we like to think customers are further re-assured of our service by the fact that we are registered with Gas Safe, the official list of engineers who are registered to work safely and legally on boilers, cookers, fires and other gas appliances.
